Industrial Automation is a discipline that includes knowledge and expertise from various branches of engineering including electrical, electronics, chemical, mechanical, communications and more recently computer and software engineering. Automation & Control by its very nature demands a cross fertilization of these faculties. As the range of technology diversifies the demand on the innovative ability of these Engineers & Technicians has increased. KGTTI has joined its hands with the technology partner FESTO, Germany and established a FESTO Authorized and certified Training centre (FACT).

Automation is the use of machines, control systems and information technologies to optimize productivity in the production of goods and delivery of services. The correct incentive for applying automation is to increase productivity, and/or quality beyond that possible with current human labour levels so as to realize economies of scale, and/or realize predictable quality levels.
